North America, The British Empire was known for blockading ports, it stopped resources coming in from the European fronts. Britain also moved in large forces to occupy land faster.

South America, The British Empire never really set foot onto the soil, they did help liberate it from Spain and help with their independence and what not, but only Privateers helped with that, so Ship-to-Ship combat.

Europe, Britain used various types of combat, large weaponry such as their Czar Cannons roamed Europe, along side their large waves of troops.

Australia, Britain took advantage of their large fleets, once again, to blockade from the pirate there and what not, but they occupied large cities by starving them (somewhat common), enslaving or occupying with force.

Africa, Britain settled many outposts, and military posts along the coasts due to the large african population could've rebelled or taken over the outposts and what not. Britain enslaved most of the villages they came by. For the countries they had to come by such as Egypt or Algeria, they made pacts, trade agreements, then betrayed them basically to get their territory. They did use their troops, ships, cannons, and heavy units like their Royal Guard.
