OpenStudy (anonymous):

a) add \(4n\) to both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b) add \(25\) to both sides

c) divide both sides by \(5\)

Thank you! Sorry for forgetting to look at this for a while. I just don't understand how to know what to add or subtract first. My first thought is add or subtract the regular numbers. How do I know? Is it just because you have to get the letter onto one side only? Also then, how do I know which side to add or subtract it to? I would have thought take the N from the right and bring it to the left etc.

OpenStudy (republican31):

Or nevermind the part about which side. I see now that it could have worked either way, right? @satellite73
