Sam wants to predict who will be selected as the seventh-grade student council representative. Which of the following groups should Sam survey to make his prediction? One hundred random students from the seventh grade One hundred random students from the entire school The first 100 students from an alphabetical list of seventh graders The first 100 students from an alphabetical list of the entire school

another question @saseal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B and D are ruled out, because you are only looking for seventh graders. A and C should theoretically produce similar data, since technically, selecting the first 100 alphabetical students is still random selection, but the answer is probably A in this case

ok

please check @welshfella if @Xep is right ^_^

A is no doubt correct, but I feel as if C is technically right also, but I'm sure what you are doing isn't so detailed as to include C as an answer

OpenStudy (mathmath333):
