CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME PLEASE? (No Direct Answers Please)

OpenStudy (cookie_monster):

6x - 8 > 4x + 26

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Add 8 to both sides subtract 4x from both sides Divide both sides by the coefficient remaining on x

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

Get all your variables on one side of the inequality, and all the constants on the other side. \[6x -4x > 26 + 8\] simplify both sides \[(6-4)x > 34\] divide \((6-4)\) on both sides to find x.

OpenStudy (cookie_monster):

Ok, so... 6x - 8 > 4x + 26 +8 +8 (6 - 4)x > 34 2x > 34 x > 17 Is this order correct?
