I'll give it a shot. it's a prediction/hypothesis (of how the planets will move), that can be tested (through an experiment) and then verified through (results) i think this is the wrong section though.

basically they have a model (how the planets will move) and they can test that model directly ( astronomy) and get data to see if their model is correct.
