Well, I am not sure if you have any restrictions here, but if you start with the equation: \[\tan(x)=0.12 \ \ \ \ \ \ \rightarrow \ \ \ \ \ \ x=\arctan(0.12)=\tan^{-1} (0.12)\approx 6.84^{o} \approx 0.119 \ radians \] Just plug it into your calculator. The function in question is the inverse tangent function.
