find the left side limit and the right side limit of x=0

that is just plug in 0 into both of the expressions and if they are both equal to some number L then the actual limit you have there is L but if they are not equal then the limit does not exist

5(0)-9=-9 |2-0|=|2|=2 you are right -9 is not the same as 2 so the limit does not exist
