Slope of y=2x-1

OpenStudy (decentnabeel):

slope intercept equation is.. y=mx+b m is the slope.. compare the given equation.. y=2x-1 slope=2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(-1,3) (0,0) (1,1) (2,3)

OpenStudy (madhu.mukherjee.946):

its 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you give more info or steps please

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

The slope of the line \(y=mx+b\) is \(m\).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (madhu.mukherjee.946):

what?

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

I cant say it any clearer.

OpenStudy (madhu.mukherjee.946):

its 2 .coz slope of a line is always a single number

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

correct, in this case it is \(2\). i.e. \(m=2\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My friend, 2 is the slope because the value M is 2 y = mx+b y = 2x+b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks. I HATE that I can't give more than 1 medal!!!!
