OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the estimated sum? Round each addend to the nearest thousand before adding. 75,364 + 472,756

OpenStudy (lynfran):

first factor -1 we get\[-(2x ^{3}-17x ^{2}+64)\]\[-(x-8)(2x ^{2}-x-8)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so x-8 is a factor?

OpenStudy (lynfran):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :)

Nnesha (nnesha):

well you can solve x-8 for x set it equal to 0\[\rm x-8=0\] x=8 now substitute all x for 8 into f(x) if you get 0 then yes x-8 is a factor
