I would just be yourself. For me that means that I write about how much they mean to me and moments that i'll remember forever. Maybe i'd write a joke we have between us. (i can be silly when i'm with those I trust and it all depends on the friend you have). Just write how much you mean to them. If I could only give one suggestion, be yourself and write how they've impacted you in your life.
