Alright, so I guess it would be best if you learnt how to make a cosine graph and then you will see clearly what exactly the key features are. So this works for both sine and cosine graphs I'll give you some guidelines on how to draw them.

Well I was going to show you how to graph it, but that's exactly right! Depending on the graph assuming we're using we should also mentioned the amplitude, if there is a vertical displacement, and a phase shift. But you do have all the essential parts.

i know the amplitude is the distance between the two thingys.. how do i find it?

That's y = cos(x) graph, so the amplitude is the distance from the mid to the max or from the mid to the min.
