The probability that a given urine sample analyzed in a pathology lab contains protein is 0.73 (event A). The probability that the urine sample contains the protein albumin is 0.58 (event B). The probability that a sample contains protein, given that albumin is detected, is 1. Which statement is true?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think the first 2 statements ar true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the third statement, for the probability to be 1, it means that the event is sure to be occured and ther is no other event to occur . but as ther is albumin also detected, it means that that prob. of pprotien cant be 1....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the prob. should be divided between the 2 -protein and protein albumin.
