Why did the Reagan administration provide funding to the Nicaraguan contras? A. to give American businesses access to markets in Nicaragua B. to support a rebellion against an elected government in Latin America C. to prevent human rights violations by the Nicaraguan government D. to promote better economic relations with poor nations in Latin America
Its either A or D, go with A, but i might be wrong
How do u know
@cami513 @dmezzullo @carina98 @Donblue i just want a second opinion
No direct answers please.
shhhhhhh king
Nope, that's breaking the rules.
I would say B. Reagan wanted to bring and end to the government in Nicaragua. Daniel Ortega was the elected official in charge of Nicaragua. The U.S. had violated international law by supporting the contras in their rebellion against the Nicaraguan government and by mining Nicaragua's harbors.
The rebels received financial and military support from the United States government.
Good job ^
It is definitely not A or D. I know I am going against exactly what the first person said, but all you have to do is look at the Reagan Admin's actions. His involvement had nothing to do with the economy in South America. :)
its fine =) i wasnt to sure
