@Luv_luvi7 @Hayleymeyer @kevin_bridges

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

since from your second equation, I read: y=x-1, then I replace y with x-1 into your first equation, so I get this: x-1=-2x+8 now, please solve it for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3

OpenStudy (welshfella):

3x = 9 x = 3 that is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but that i not really my question i don't think

OpenStudy (welshfella):

Now to find y plug x = 3 into the first eqation and solve for y

OpenStudy (welshfella):

yes Michel llaino has explained how to find x and i have explained how to get y.
