OpenStudy (jaceykilla):

What is the similarity between simple diffusion and facilitated diffusion?

OpenStudy (insa):

similarities: -both are types of passive transport - they require no energy. -both work along the concentration gradient which means they move from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration difference: -simple diffusion just goes though the membrane of a cell while facilitated diffusion uses a protein channel

OpenStudy (insa):

OpenStudy (jmark):

Both simple and facilitated diffusion allow materials to pass through the membranes. Both simple and facilitated diffusion require a concentration difference to move from higher level of concentration to its lower level of concentration. Both simple and facilitated diffusion uses energy from its environment. English speaking skills - http://education-help-online.blogspot.in/2015/08/english-speaking-skills.html
