please help! marcus spent 10 hours doing his homework. this week he spent 11 hours doing homework. he says that he spent 110% more time doing homework this week . is he correct? why or why not?

Well, you tell me. 10 * 1.10 (percent in decimal form) = ?

Just kidding (I messed up). Last week he spent 100% (10 hours) doing homework. Now he spent 10% more time. For him to spend 110% more time, he would have spent 210% of 10 hours - 21 hours. SO he is wrong. He ends up spending 110% of 10 hours which is only 10% more time. Hope this helps. Medal and fan please if it did.
