Evaluate the expression b3·b4 when b=2. Not sure what im supposed to be doing.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

\(\large b^3*b^4\) like that ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im not sure my school doesnt explain anything it just expects us to know and im struggling in math because its my weakest subject

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

im asking if those 3 and 4 are in the top..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhh sorry lol yes

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

simply replace \(b\) by \(2\)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

\(\large 2^3*2^4\)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

since the bases are same, you can simply add the exponents : \(\large 2^{3+4}\)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

that equals \(\large 2^7\)
