Is this an example of an allusion by chance! Or by chance at least a personification, I need to get quotes from a book and I am trying to make sure. Please respond as soon as possible. "You cannot undo what has been done. Your heart is in the right place, though, so don’t give up trying to mend it."

If it isn't is this an example? "Speaking of our devil."

An allusion is a reference to another work. Say in a book about the Middle Ages, the characters mention a line from the Bible.

Personification is giving something that isn't human human qualities. Here's an example: "The sky beckoned me with open arms." Obviously, the sky doesn't have arms, but you're giving the idea that the sky is very inviting and exciting.

"Speaking of our devil" wouldn't be an allusion. It's just an idiom, or a common saying.
