Which equation best expresses the revenue for selling n t-shirts at $11.25 each? r+n=11.25 r = n + 11.25 r = 11.25/n r = 11.25n

OpenStudy (phi):

revenue means how much you get when you sell the shirts. if you sold 2 shirts, any idea how much you would get ?

OpenStudy (surryyy):

my answer would be d?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think the answer might be d what do you think

OpenStudy (phi):

if you sold 2 shirts, any idea how much you would get ?

OpenStudy (surryyy):

$22.5?

OpenStudy (phi):

and how did you find that number?

OpenStudy (surryyy):

11.25 x 2

OpenStudy (phi):

and if you sold 3 shirts you would do 11.25*3 or 4 shirts 11.25*4 it looks like the rule is " multiply 11.25 times the number of shirts" if the number of shirts is a "letter" n we should still use that rule.

OpenStudy (phi):

I would look for the answer that shows 11.25 * n

OpenStudy (surryyy):

ok tysm.

OpenStudy (phi):

in algebra , if we multiply a number times a letter , we don't bother to put in the multiply sign, so we write 11.25*n as 11.25n (it means the same thing, multiply them)

OpenStudy (surryyy):

yea i know. ty!
