Help please!
Snowy's Snow Cones has a special bubble gum snow cone on sale. The cone is a regular snow cone that has a spherical piece of bubble gum nested at the bottom of the cone. The radius of the snow cone is 2 inches, and the height of the cone is 3 inches. If the diameter of the bubble gum is 0.5 inches, which of the following can be used to calculate the volume of the cone that can be filled with flavored ice?
What is it you need help with?
haha i remember this question and i hate it lol @anitasonia98 take it
I'm not all that good at geometry :o
ok so first we need the formula for the sphere's volume, know what that is?
Well, I guess you can start out with finding the volume of the cone.
I'm not looking for the actual answer
I mean I don't have to solve..
so it's the volume of the cone-volume of the gum.
What's the volume of a cone formula? And the volume of a sphere is: \[4/3pir^3\]
\[\pi r^2\frac{ h }{ 3 }\]
Okay. So plug in the values you have for height and radius. The radius of the sphere is half the diameter, so it would be 0.25.
I think it's a
@Unofficialllyy you can already rule out the last two answers, since they have 0.5, the diameter, rather than the radius of the sphere.
@Unofficialllyy I think you're right :)
Thanks!
Np. Was that correct?
