Stuck on a timed test!!! I cant figure this one out!! Use the zero product property to find the solutions to the equation x2 – 15x – 100 = 0. x = –20 or x = 5 x = –20 or x = –5 x = –5 or x = 20 x = 5 or x = 20

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

You have to factor the equations first.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

\(\large\color{black}{ \displaystyle x^2 - 15x - 100 = 0 }\) \(\large\color{black}{ \displaystyle x^2 - 5x-20x - 100 = 0 }\) \(\large\color{black}{ \displaystyle x(x - 5)-20(x + 5) = 0 }\)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

then complete the factoring (I got it half way through for you)
