I'm supposed to be doing a science project, but I'm not going to search around for the stuff I need for it. The whole project is finding out of stuff is acidic or basic. The things I need to figure out that are acidic or basic are: -Vinegar -bicarbonate of soda -fruit juice -tomato juice -soup -milk If you could help out, that would be great-I will give medal for best answer! Thank you.

Hi! So do you have these things with you or you are only supposed to show that they are acidic out basic

OpenStudy (shreehari499):

*or

OpenStudy (shreehari499):

OK anyways... An substance can be proven to be acidic if it has a sour taste (don't taste vinegar!) And a basic substance will be bitter and soapy to touch

OpenStudy (shreehari499):

Vinegar-Acetic acid

OpenStudy (shreehari499):

Naoh or sodium bicarbonate of a pure base with a ph of almost 14

OpenStudy (shreehari499):

All fruit juices are acidic (strong or weak) depending on the concentration

OpenStudy (shreehari499):

And finally milk is a base..... Hope It's sufficient for your work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you. :)

OpenStudy (shreehari499):

No sodium bicarbonate is one of the strongest base....(try it yourself-but a baking soda and touch it and taste it)
