when you add two negative numbers your answer would be negative example: -2-3= -5 (both numbers are negative so you would add them but u would keep the negative sign) when you have one positive and one negative number example: -2+3 ( if bigger number is positive answer would be positive ) 2-3( if bigger number is negative answer would be negative )
