To reply to this endlessly easy question just remember the order of different signs in math: 1) Brackets [ ... ] 2) Parentheses ( ... ) 3) Powers 4) Multiplication and Division 5) Addition and Subtraction For solving this question you need to do calculations Firstly for the math phrase. Then start calculating of each choice based on the order above. Example 1) 7 • 5 – 4 • 5 + 9 --> Multiplications first --> 35-20+9 --> finish it with Addition and Subtraction --> 24 Example 2) 7 • [(5 – 4) • 5] + 9 --> let everything go. Just calculate the phrases inside brackets. --> [(5 – 4) • 5] --> Inside the brackets you should calculate Firstly Parentheses, Secondly multiplication and lastly Subtraction. --> [(5 – 4) • 5] = [(1) • 5]=[5] --> Now you're done with Brackets because there is only one number in it. You can remove the brackets now. --> 7 • [5] + 9 = 7 • 5 + 9 --> Now you should calculate Firstly Multiplication and then Addition. --> 7 • 5 + 9 = 35 + 9 = 44 Remember: Once you do it 10-12 times, you will be able to do this in less than 2 or 3 seconds. Don't think any of it. As I said, it's unbelievably easy.
