PLEASE HELP WILL FAN AND MEDAL!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (djjo):

so you basically have to make an equation

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

What do you think the answer is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have no clue .-. 2% maybe?

OpenStudy (djjo):

|dw:1440436770669:dw|

OpenStudy (djjo):

so you can do this in two different ways

OpenStudy (djjo):

the one I find easiest is when you do 16.65 * 100 and divide the answer by 19.98 so its basically making a cross with an arrow pointing to x|dw:1440436941127:dw|

OpenStudy (djjo):

do understand already?

OpenStudy (pratyush5):

@DJJo I think you are doing it wrong .

OpenStudy (djjo):

Well, what I'm doing is finding the percentage of 16.65 over 19.98 and then removing that percentage from 100 to find how much it increased

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I cross multiplied and got 83.34

OpenStudy (djjo):

@pratyush5

OpenStudy (djjo):

ok so now that you got the percentage subtract it from 100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

16.66

OpenStudy (djjo):

oh wait no I'm so sorry I made a mistake

OpenStudy (djjo):

ok so sorry, but you actually have to subtract 16.65 from 19.98

OpenStudy (djjo):

what do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3.33

OpenStudy (djjo):

yeah so now you have to do cross product

OpenStudy (pratyush5):

@DJJo It is percentage increase. So shouldnt it be increase divided by original multiplied by 100|dw:1440363278642:dw|

OpenStudy (djjo):

Yeah @pratyush5 is right I got a little confused

OpenStudy (djjo):

so @WhatEven try filling the equation @pratyush5 made

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I get 20...

OpenStudy (djjo):

yeah, just don't forget the percent, so 20%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, thanks guys. (: I'll fan you both but who wants the medal?

OpenStudy (pratyush5):

Give it to @DJJo

OpenStudy (djjo):

you can give it to @pratyush5 he's the one who deserves it

OpenStudy (pratyush5):

She helped you first :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks (:
