OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Well, do you know what quotient means?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Divide

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it's c

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Yah, the fort one is c. That is really what these things are about. Translating math words to symbols.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Any ideas for the other 3

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Well, there are more than 3... which ones are you haveing trouble with?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

And the notifications are no coming through, so I did not notice you had replied... =( Otherwise I would have answered earlier.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The second one

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

2.write a word or phrase for the algebraic expression 3X -7.. well, obviously you will use the words three and seven. Now, remember to say three times x or the product of three and x, not just three x. You might also put the seven out front, as in "seven is subtracted from the product of...."

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Other verbak stops can be done with things like has or after, After multiplying x and y, subtract z. The product of x and y has x subtracted from it.
