Help with Radians and Degrees? Will fan and Medal!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What situation would be best to use Radian measure? What situation would be best for Degree Measure?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Radians are unit circle measure, can help with nonacute angles, more generalized. Degrees are used in triangles mainly.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@flyingpie Do you know the pros and cons of them both?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah, radians help with nonacute angles, are a bit more annoying to use as they are not exact numbers degrees are more intuitive but then limited

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would degrees be limited? I'm understanding it, but just missing a few of the aspects...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@flyingpie

OpenStudy (welshfella):

Only radians work in calculus.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah, radians are most commonly used, but degrees are limited because even thogh degrees are used to express directionality and angle size, degrees aren't techincally numbers, we can only use numbers in math. They are not a proper measure, say, when graphing a function
