A steel ball and a plastic ball are thrown upward with the same initial velocity. Magneto unleashes a magnetic wave that gives the steel ball an additional horizontal velocity v while leaving the plastic ball unaffected. Which is most likely to happen? A. The steel ball will reach the ground first. B. The plastic ball will reach the ground first. C. Both balls will reach the ground at the same time. D. The time of flight depends on the balls’ masses. AND PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY THANK YOU
well, does the magnetic wave affect vertical velocity?
No, and gravity which is going to bring down both these balls only affects the vertical veloity. all change we're considering here need to be along the y coordinate axis. and this should @ienarancillo be a physics question... but you'll know/learn that change along each axis is independent of each other
Thus, C.
You might be tempted to D, but refer to galileo and so on... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galileo%27s_Leaning_Tower_of_Pisa_experiment
ohh aorry bout that @decidedlypretentious but thank you so much though
