EASY PROBLEM. JUST NEED VERIFICATION.
Sandra uses her office fax machine to send faxes at the rate of $0.10 per page. She decides to rent a fax machine for $80 a year. The cost of sending a fax using the rented machine is $0.06 per page. Part A: Write an inequality that can be used to calculate the number of pages that Sandra should fax in a year so that the amount she pays for the rented machine is less than the office machine. Define the variable used. (5 points)
I got 0.06x + 80y < 0.10 Can anyone verify that?
very close: instead of 80y, just use 80, it is where you start, no need for a second variable. so take out the y and you have your final answer. hope this helped
I got -1331.666666666667... Is that right? It doesn't seem so...
@twistnflip
well your new equation should look like this right? 0.06x + 80 < 0.10 Did you do this?
Yes.
I solved it
