with what

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mr. Rand took 20 mins to travel from town a to town b. His average speed was 66 km/h. Find the distance between the two towns.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know how to set up a proportion?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No I dont think so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

66 kilometers in one hour, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

20 minuts is one third of an hour. since we divided one hour by 3 to get 20 minuts, well divide 66 by 3 to get the distance

OpenStudy (anonymous):

understand so far?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

22 is the distance from one town to another. you could also use an easier formula: time=dist / speed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/3= (d) / 66 22 km

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes! I get it! Thank you so much!

youre welcome
