even new york lets you say things against the law, and lets you have a "riot" march, but their will be police everywhere to make sure things do not get out of hand

Freedom of speech does not apply to private web sites.  As the law says, it prevents the government from restricting things... but even that is not absolute.  Child porn and death threats to the president are still illegal, as well as a bunch of other things.  So free speech is really not that free.
