(2x+4) / (3x-1) = (1/2) help me please, it's a function equation..

First you can multiply by two, because using whole numbers is easier than fractions. So that would get you (4x+8)/(3x-1) = 1. Then you could multiply by 3x-1. The equation would then become 4x-8=3x-1. From there you would combine like terms, and solve for x!

On that last step it would be 4x+8, not 4x-8... my bad
