What would happen to skin cells if mitosis did not take place? Skin cells would regrow from other types of cells. Skin cells would be replaced at a slower rate. Skin cells would be replaced with new cells. Skin cells would die and not be replaced.

What do u think ?

Exactly !

OpenStudy (rushwr):

Mitosis is a part of the cell cycle in which chromosomes in a cell nucleus are separated into two identical sets of chromosomes, each in its own nucleus. So mitosis is the reason for the regeneration of new cells. So if mitosis doesn't occur all of our cells would die off before dividing and creating new cells, and we wouldn't be able to live since cells are a major part of our anatomy.
