Just need to figure out what im doing, dont need any awnsers :) thanks for the help \( ゚ヮ゚)/ A buffet-style restaurant has 18 tables that seat 23 people each. A group of 401 has rented the restaurant for a banquet. If another man comes, his wife, and their nine children come as invited guests, what is the least number of people that can sit at one table?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well first you add the number of people in church group and the number of people who came as invited guests. Then divide that by 18

OpenStudy (phi):

if we put 23 people at every table, except the last one. how many will have to sit at the last one ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nevermind ಠ_ಠ

OpenStudy (mathmate):

Maximum is 23 per table. But least is less than 22, by the pigeon hole principle.
