OpenStudy (steve816):

Please help me! Find the distance between the given points: (4+t, w), (t-2, 4-2w)

OpenStudy (freckles):

have you tried plugging into the distance formula

OpenStudy (freckles):

\[d_{\text{ distance from } (a,b) \text{ to } (c,d)} =\sqrt{(a-c)^2+(b-d)^2}\]

OpenStudy (freckles):

replace a with (4+t) replace c with (t-2) replace b with w replace d with (4-2w)

OpenStudy (steve816):

Okay, I'll try plugging those in.

OpenStudy (steve816):

Thanks! I got the answer :) You're really on a roll tonight!

OpenStudy (freckles):

Cool stuff! I'm glad you got the answer.
