I can't entirely remember how to deal with this but maybe find the equilibrium points that's where we have \[\left( \frac{ dU }{ dx } \right)_0 = 0\]

If you saw my explanation in your previous post for \[F(x) \cong -kx+\epsilon x^3 \] where epsilon is a small quantity. But, I'm not sure, maybe if you had some notes or something I could try to help...
