Is the Universal Law of Gravitation the reason why we feel the slight change in our sense when objects are in front of us even with our eyes closed?

I'd like to briefly use the physics principle to see whether that had found an application to mundane things such as that gut feel you get when you are close to a huge generator even with your eyes closed, or to feel something is really close to you even if you don't see anything
