OpenStudy (surryyy):

What is f(x) x g(x) if f(x)=2x+3 and g(x)=4x ? 6x+3 6x^2+12x 8x^2+12x 8x+3

OpenStudy (freckles):

is that one x suppose to be a multiplication sign or is it the variable x?

OpenStudy (freckles):

i think it is multiplication sign \[f(x) \cdot g(x)\] replace f with (2x+3) and g with (4x) \[(2x+3)(4x)\] distribute

OpenStudy (surryyy):

should the final answer be 8x^2+12x?

OpenStudy (surryyy):

@imqwerty

OpenStudy (freckles):

yes 2x(4x)=8x^2 and 3(4x)=12x so (2x+3)(4x) is 8x^2+12x
