What is the inverse of the graph? https://static.k12.com/eli/bb/1211/3_68943/2_32976_16_68959/57c7ce732abb257015ab59955d5b8e52e67e0bdf/media/41d1f27fd41c3f84f05afe56cebb1e76972c41cc/mediaasset_942815_1.jpg

unless I'm mistaken, this graph is y = x^3 so we switch x and y and solve for y again x = y^3 y = x^(1/3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do that, but start at rhe top left and go to the bottom riight (miirror miimiicry)

the*

OpenStudy (surryyy):

Can you graph the inverse cause im confused...

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

sure! let's pick x values that have easy cube roots x = 0, y = 0^(1/3) = 0 x = 1, y = 1^(1/3) = 1 x = 8, y = 8^(1/3) = 2 x = -1, y = (-1)^(1/3) = -1 x = -8, y = 8^(1/3) = -2

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

when we put them on a graph it looks like this http://tarantamath.pbworks.com/f/graph.png

Thanks! :)
