Why did the Antifederalists oppose the new constitution? (Will Give A Medal!) A:They believed it favored the more populous states. B:They believed it would create an autocratic federal government. C:They believed it was a bundle of compromises. D:They believed it would propel the nation into anarchy. They believed it was weaker than the Articles of Confederation.
The Anti-Federalists were opposed to the ratification of the Constitution because they felt as though it gave too much power to the national government. Anti-Federalists believed that a powerful national government would become tyrannical like the British monarchy. I
I'm Thinking It Is B Or D.
I Suck At History! xD
autocracy is when power is in the hands of one person so it would resemble a monarchy. I believe that b would be the answer. I guess they feared a situation where the national government had too much power.
I Guess I Just Thought Since They Said "The Government Would Have More Power" It Meant More Than One Person. Thank You! :3
let me know if that's correct, I don't think they believed it would propel the nation into anarchy
It Doesn't Tell Me If It Is Correct Or Not, But I Trust You!
Ok no problem good luck
