The producers must pick 4 people to participate in the pilot episode, so they bring in 8 male actors and 10 female actors to interview to participate. How many different combinations of contestants can be made from these actors?

If you just want 4 people, out of a pool of 10+8 = 18, then you will need to compute 18 C 4 use the combination formula
