Jenny surveyed 40 students at her school and found that 0.55 of the students she surveyed said their favorite class is math. Another 25% of the students she surveyed reported that their favorite class is science. How many more students in the survey prefer math over science? 12 22 30 32

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@phi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is 30

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see in the another survey,total no. of must hav been 40.... thus if 25% stds. like sci. then (100-25)% =75% likes maths... thus 75% * 40 = 30

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but 25% *40 = 10 thus no. of more stds. like maths over sci= 30-10= 20

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer is c?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ar they not asking about no. of more stds. like maths over sci?

checkthe ansbook..
