Please help! Medal + Fan! (easy Algebra question) What is the domain of the following parabola?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a. x ≥ 1 b. x ≤ 1 c. All real numbers d. y ≤ 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure what the answer is, cause I've been having trouble with determining domains. My lesson never really covered it.

OpenStudy (freckles):

the domain is all the x-values in which the function exists

OpenStudy (freckles):

look at your x-axis and scroll up and down with your eyes for each value on the x-axis and if you see a part of the curve (line or whatever) there then the function exist and so that number is apart of the domain

OpenStudy (freckles):

for example does your function exist at x=-2?|dw:1440973842510:dw|
