thanks brother

OpenStudy (sepeario):

Alright let's work through this together. First we want to substitute the value given so we are left with only the variable we want to solve for. Hence: \[3(-4)-\frac{ 6 }{ x } = 12\]

OpenStudy (sepeario):

I'll work through pretty quickly just let me know if you don't understand anything. \[-12-6/x=12\] (multiply the whole equation by x) \[-12x-6=12x\] \[24x=-6\] \[x=-6/24\] or B when simplified.
