A = 1/2bh...solving for h to get rid of the fraction, multiply both sides by 2 (this cancels out the 1/2 on the right side of the equal sign) 2A = bh -- now divide both sides by b 2A/b = h

ok im still confused though. . . why would you multiply both sides by 2
