OpenStudy (tiff9702):

I think It is D

Nnesha (nnesha):

why do you think its D ? explain :=)

OpenStudy (tiff9702):

That is the way I Interperate it

Nnesha (nnesha):

did you solve for x or did you apply substitution method ?

OpenStudy (tiff9702):

I worked backwards

OpenStudy (tiff9702):

I did \[-45+9 \] and then i did\[-6\times6\]

Nnesha (nnesha):

to check ur answer substitute x for 6\[-6(6)-9=-45\] if both sides are equal then yes 6 is the answer if both sides are not equal then no

Nnesha (nnesha):

first step is right add 9 both sides but why did you multiply by 6?

OpenStudy (tiff9702):

Both times I got 36 so I assumed if I added 9 to \[-6\times6\] i would get -45

Nnesha (nnesha):

alright first step add 9 both sides |dw:1441036121395:dw| now divide both sides by -
