help 26/67

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

and what do you need to do with this fraction ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need to turn it to a mix fraction

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

it cannot be turned into a mixed fraction. A mixed fraction would need a bigger numerator then denominator

@cc_peach

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

See how you just cut-and-paste without showing any work? Had you shown some work, or at least posted the entire problem statement, texas would not have had to waste a post asking you about it. Do NOT tag people without showing your own work.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then what do i do

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

do you want me to show you how to turn an improper fraction into a mixed number ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok sorry @texaschic101

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk what he means

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but sorry

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

don't worry too much about it....do you need to know how to turn an improper fraction into a mixed number ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol c how many times 26 goes into 67 than take that number and subtract it from 67 and ull find ur answer

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

For a fraction to be turned into a mixed number, it has to be an improper fraction...it has to have a bigger numerator then a denominator. 4/3......how many times does 3 go into 4 ? It goes in there 1 time...that is your whole number. Now 3 goes into 4 one time with a remainder of 1. That remainder is your numerator. The denominator stays the same. So 4/3 turned into a mixed number is : 1 1/3. (thats 1 and one-third)

ok
