Which of the following would be the least reliable source of scientific information? newspaper scientific journal government internet site science textbook
what do you think?
Scientific information is (presumably) empirically observable data coupled with analysis based solely on facts and not presumptions or opinions. Now which do you think follows along more closely to the former description.... and the latter?
I would have to say that scientific journal published from a reputable company must bear some significance to the finding they made.
On the other hand government may be misinformed simply due to their lack of understanding of science as the place is infested by politicians and not scientists so I would not trust the science expressed by whatever means in their government website.
Newspapers are written by journalists who know nothing about rocket science so I wouldn't trust them either .
Moreover science textbook may well be outdated due to that upgrading textbooks takes time and money because they'd have to replace all of the school supplies across the administered province.
Anyway those are just my thoughts and I hope this gives you a good scope of what you'd expect from a reliable science source .
