A. Write an equation in slope-intercept form for the line parallel to the red line and going through the point (3,5). B. Write an equation in slope-intercept form for the line perpendicular to the blue line and going through the point (-4, 0).

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

a. find the slope of the red line and plug that into slope intercept form equation using the points x=3 and y=5 that will give you the equation of the line you need.

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

b. find the slope of the blue line then take the reciprocal of the slope and plug in the points x=-4 and y=5 in slope intercept form
