HELP PLEASE MEDAL AND FAN IF ANSWERED ALGEBRA QUESTION HERE: Find the volume of a rectangular prism if the length is 2x, the width is 4x2, and the height is 2x2 + x + 7. Use the formula V = l ⋅ w ⋅ h, where l is length, w is width, and h is height, to find the volume

@KimberNicoleee

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well first how do you find the volume?

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

@madiiharrell not sure..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It gives you the formula. Look where it says "Use the formula...."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

area of base x height

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

these are the answer choices and i am confused on which one it might be I'm stuck between a and b 8x6 + 8x4 + 56x3 8x5 + 8x4 + 56x3 16x6 + 8x4 + 56x3 16x5 + 8x4 + 56x3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It literally gives you the formula in the question. How were you not sure? All you have to do is plug in so you can find the volume. Then look at your answer choices.

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

how do i find L?

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

@madiiharrell

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

HELPPP please @KimberNicoleee

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

@katethomas please hello

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It says the length is 2x in the question.....

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

wow thanks!!! so much help. @madiiharrell go be rude somewhere else you aren't helping

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

well.. i got 8x+15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not being rude. It gives you all you are asking for in the question. I'll gladly go help someone else.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, what do you not understand?

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

@KimberNicoleee well, I did the equation and then i got 8x+15... and that is not one of my answer choices

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Give me a second.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(2x)(4x2)(2x2+x+7) Did you solve it like this?

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did the distributive property and got B.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You have to multiply \[v=(2x)(4x ^{2})(2x ^{2}+x+7)\]
